Female Companion/Caregiver for a Girl in Täby

Revida Omsorg offers professional and skilled assistance with respite care and companionship services to families in need. Our focus is on children and young people with disabilities who need support to live as full and developmentally enriching lives as possible. Revida Omsorg also considers the wellbeing of the entire family and tailors our services through close collaboration with parents and loved ones. We believe it is important to take into account the child's/young person's own interests and wishes to enable the best pedagogical support. Adults with disabilities can also receive respite care and companionship services under LSS (the Swedish Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Here too, the goal is to ease daily life and improve quality of life through participation in society and social contexts. Revida Omsorg also offers residential support to people living in their own homes who have a mental health or neuropsychiatric condition and need guidance and support in their everyday life. JOB DUTIES: We are now looking for someone who would like to work as a companion/caregiver for a wonderful girl with Down syndrome and intellectual disability. She needs support in her daily life to meet her basic needs and wishes – and most importantly, someone who can share joy, activities, and community with her. For a good match, it is important that you are attentive, considerate, and able to understand what is best for her. You enjoy being outdoors, taking walks, and like to come up with fun, creative, and adapted activities together. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in another person's life – while receiving great joy in return. QUALIFICATIONS It is meritious if you are trained as a companion/caregiver or have experience in this field. About the position: 12-30 hours/month, performed on afternoons and weekends.
