Description Would you like to make a difference in quality improvement work for individuals living with dementia and mental health challenges? A pilot project is now starting to strengthen systematic quality work at Oskarslund Care Facility by introducing eight quality care assistants with staffing during both day and night shifts. Project duration: November 1, 2026 - October 31, 2027. Although it is a project, you will be offered a permanent employment as a care assistant with us. Job Responsibilities Your role as a quality care assistant is to provide support to the unit manager and work teams in quality work, incident management, self-inspections, care hygiene, documentation, and implementation of procedures and work methods. Your role will help ensure that quality work becomes a natural part of daily operations, thereby creating better conditions for safe, secure, and cohesive care and support. Six of you will be assigned one per unit and work continuous day/evening and weekend shifts, and two will work night shifts with evening and weekend service. Most of elderly care's education and quality improvement initiatives take place close to operations, at your own workplace. You will be a resource enhancement in daily care work but with a special focus on quality and improvement work. The assignment includes, among other things: • Support work teams in systematic quality work. • Coordinate and follow up on self-inspections. • Participate in analysis of incidents, feedback, and complaints. • Provide support in implementing new procedures and work methods. • Contribute to education and competence development for staff. • Monitor quality in documentation and care plans. • Act as a link between operations, licensed personnel, and management on quality matters. • Share best practices and improvement initiatives between units. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant, preferably with a focus on geriatrics or psychiatry or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience with quality work and development of work methods and procedures in care work. It is also an asset if you have experience with dementia, substance abuse issues, and comorbidity. Since we work with the methods BPSD, MI, and low-affect approaches, it is an asset if you have knowledge of these methods. You are self-driven and motivated and enjoy bringing others along on solutions in a constructive manner. Good communication skills and responsiveness are required to identify needs and convey knowledge in a good way. Your personal maturity helps you read different situations, and your flexibility means you are open to change, which contributes positively to quality improvements in the work. We Offer: Salary will be reviewed based on the increased responsibility and competence required. The base is AID code: 207011 for Care Assistant specialized residential care. If you have a specialty focus, the range can be expanded.
