As a Quality Technician, you'll take on an operational role where you assess quality issues, guide production, and drive deviations from identified problems to resolution.
About the Role
As a Quality Technician, you'll become an important part of ensuring quality in production and in deliveries from both internal operations and suppliers. You'll work operationally day-to-day assessing various quality issues, identifying problems, and driving the measures needed to bring them to closure.
The role involves reviewing products and components against the quality requirements set, for example by assessing whether a detail complies with drawings and specifications. When deviations occur, you investigate the problem and help drive the assessment of how it should be handled. This might include working together with design and other relevant functions to determine whether a damaged component can be repaired or needs to be scrapped.
You work close to production and serve as a support and guidance function for staff on quality-related matters. The role also involves interfacing with warehouse and maintaining contact with various suppliers and other stakeholders. An important part of the work is being objective and independent in your quality assessments.
Your Profile
To succeed as a Quality Technician, you have experience working with quality issues in manufacturing industry. You're accustomed to handling quality-related matters and thrive in a role where you need to maintain contact with and guide different people and functions.
As a person, you are social and find it easy to connect with different stakeholders. You need to be objective in your assessments while collaborating with production, design, warehouse, and suppliers to move quality issues forward.
Mandatory Requirements:
Experience driving quality issues in manufacturing industry
Vocational School/University Engineer/Civil Engineer degree in production, quality or related field
The assignment is placed in security class. Prior to employment, you must undergo a security vetting and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. This may require certain citizenship.
Meritorious:
Experience in production blueprint reading
Previous experience as a Production Technician
Familiarity with quality management systems
