This is an opportunity for you who thrive in a practical, varied role with many contact points – and who wants to contribute to ensuring world-leading defense technology. About the Company BAE Systems Bofors is a high-tech company that develops and integrates advanced weapons systems. With approximately 700 employees in Karlskoga, Karlstad, and Örebro, we are a national resource with unique expertise in artillery guns, naval guns, ammunition, and remote-controlled weapons systems. We operate in a global context and work closely with both local and international partners. About the Positions As a quality technician, you are production's first point of contact for quality matters. You work closely with assemblers, quality engineers, and other colleagues within Operations to quickly identify, analyze, and drive quality issues forward. The role is central to maintaining stable flows and safe quality in our products. BAE Systems is in a strong growth phase, and now the team needs to be expanded with 2 additional colleagues to meet increasing production pace – which means you're coming in at a time where you can really contribute and have significant influence on daily quality work. Your Main Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Handle quality issues that arise in production together with assembly personnel. Conduct initial analysis of internal and external deviations. Describe and quality-assure handover to quality engineers. Control and determine the scope of deviations. Be responsible for quarantine areas and ensure progress in deviation cases. Take responsibility for test assembly. Manage and compile gun files according to applicable directives before delivery. Ensure calibration validity for equipment used in quality work. Participate in risk analyses and production reviews. You'll have a role where you work close to the product, close to the people, and close to the quality processes, and where your work is directly visible in the final product result. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and thrives in a practical role with many contact points. You need to be able to build trust with assemblers and production teams, while handling documentation and following up on deviations with good precision. We believe you have: Post-secondary education with technical focus, or other background deemed equivalent. Experience from quality work or similar role within production or assembly. Good ability to document, analyze, and work in a structured manner. A genuine interest in quality and improvement work. It is meritorious if you have worked in manufacturing industry or with deviation management, but most important is your meticulousness, teamwork ability, and willingness to develop within quality.
