Kungl. Musikhögskolan i Stockholm (KMH) is Sweden's only independent university college specializing in music. We educate students at the highest international level across various music genres, conducting, composition, music and media production, as well as in various teacher education programs with a focus on music. KMH also conducts research and doctoral education in music and music pedagogy, and participates in extensive artistic and pedagogical research and development projects in Sweden and internationally. KMH hereby announces a position as Quality Coordinator at the Department for Education and Research Support. The Department consists of 10 people and is responsible for creating systematic approaches and comprehensive oversight within the education and study administration area at both KMH's central administration and at the academies. The Department is responsible for study administration processes from admission to degree completion and handles student welfare and student rights matters. The Department's mandate includes study and career guidance, international student and staff exchange, academic year planning, facilities booking, and scheduling. Beyond student-related matters and processes, the Department provides support to the Education and Research Board. The Department also handles research-related matters and is responsible for supporting KMH's systematic quality work. About the Role As Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate, develop, and lead quality assurance work for both education and research. You will work both operationally and strategically with development, monitoring, and quality assurance of the university's activities. Examples of work tasks include: Lead and coordinate processes for systematic quality assurance within education and research Prepare materials for internal and external audits, evaluations, and responses to consultations Develop, monitor, and ensure quality of guidelines, processes, and governing documents related to the university's quality system Participate in developing quality systems and quality assurance processes for research Drive and support implementation of improvement measures within education and research environments Be responsible for qualified handling and coordination of doctoral education and research-related processes Provide qualified support on matters related to research and doctoral education Participate in the development and revision of education and course plans The work tasks are varied and may include responsibility for driving or participating in other university-wide development projects. You will also have close contact with several different functions within the university's organization, as well as with other administrators within the Department. The Department's work is characterized by participation and collaboration and offers great opportunities to influence and develop processes and working methods. You are expected to actively contribute to the development of both the Department's and the university's work. Qualification Requirements Relevant university education Substantial experience with qualified work, investigation, or project management at an educational institution or supervisory authority Pedagogical and communicative skills Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office You express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English Meritorious It is meritorious if you have a doctoral degree and have experience with quality work within higher education. Personal Qualities To be a good fit for this role, we are looking for someone with professional demeanor who can collaborate with others in a smooth manner. You are pragmatic, self-driven, and take own initiatives. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to prioritize among your tasks when many matters are ongoing in parallel. You also have good administrative skills and can plan and organize complex processes and workflows. About the Position The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period (six months). Scope: full-time. Start date: January 15 or by agreement.
