About the Position
As a quality engineer at Fergas, you will have a broad and operationally engaged role with a strong focus on improvement initiatives, customer dialogue, and quality assurance throughout the entire value chain. An important part of the assignment is to close the gap between production, design, and quality, and to ensure that we work in a structured, preventive, and focused manner.
You will work with deviation management, customer complaints, and root cause analyses—which form a central part of the role. At the same time, you will drive improvements in production and operations, where you both challenge and support the organization on quality matters. The role also includes working with and developing management systems according to ISO standards, participating in FMEA work, and contributing to our sustainability efforts, such as supplier data and chemical handling. In time, there is also an opportunity to help develop approaches around life cycle assessment.
The role sits at the intersection between production and product development. You don't need to own every aspect, but you need to understand the big picture, ask the right questions, and drive the work forward. You will work closely with several functions, particularly production engineering, design, and procurement.
Your Responsibilities
Drive and follow up on deviation management and conduct root cause analyses
Handle customer complaints and contribute to dialogue with both customers and suppliers
Identify and drive improvement initiatives in production and operations
Support the organization on quality matters through structure, methods, and training
Work with and further develop management systems and participate in internal audits
Participate in FMEA work and quality assurance in both production and development
About You
We believe you have several years of experience in quality in an industrial environment, and that you are confident in driving matters forward, even when it requires clarity and structure.
You don't need to know everything from the start. What matters is that you have the right foundation, the right mindset, and a willingness to develop with us.
We would like to see that you have:
Civil or university engineering degree
Experience with quality work in industry
Good understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001
Experience with deviation management or root cause analyses
Experience working with customers or suppliers on quality matters
It is advantageous if you have experience with, for example, IATF16949, FMEA, statistical methods, or LEAN, as well as an interest in production or product development from a quality perspective.
To succeed in the role, you need to combine structure with implementation strength. You are not afraid to set requirements, but do so in a way that brings the organization along. You are clear, communicative, and have an ability to engage others, while being principled and willing to stand your ground when needed.
You like to make things better—for real.
Why Fergas?
Here you will have a central role in the company's development, where you work closely with technology, production, and customers. You will have the opportunity to influence methods and structure, while becoming part of a company with a clear ambition to develop and improve.
