We are now looking for our next Quality Engineer based in Gävle who wants to strengthen our quality work. You will be an important part of our team and work cross-functionally to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and efficient improvement work in close cooperation with production, our customers, and internal specialist functions.
Gävle mill is a world leader in the production of liquid carton for beverage and food packaging, as well as White Top Kraftliner for the corrugated packaging industry. Our products are used globally, and every day we manufacture material for approximately 200 million portion packages. This means that every fourth portion drink in the world contains liquid carton from Billerud in Gävle.
In our production environment, we work together to create a safe, efficient, and sustainable operation. You will contribute to a flow where quality and safety are in focus, while you develop your expertise by learning new processes, techniques, and ways of working.
In your role as Quality Engineer, you will, among other things:
Work with analyzing, interpreting, and reporting quality data and process relationships.
Investigate and respond to customer inquiries.
Support the production organization in quality assessment.
Lead and structure problem-solving and root cause analyses.
Be an expert on materials and customer requirements.
Drive quality improvement projects and activities.
Participate in internal and external quality forums.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role of Quality Engineer, we believe you have:
A Master's degree in process, chemistry, paper, or quality-oriented engineering, or experience that Billerud considers equivalent.
Experience in quality and improvement work or process industry.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Good understanding of management systems, objective-driven management, and improvement methodology.

You communicate clearly and appreciate collaboration with many different contacts, where you build trust through an open and unpretentious way of working. At the same time, you are driven and curious, with a strong commitment to developing both working methods and processes.
