About the operation Region Dalarna's Culture and Education Administration works to create conditions for a rich cultural life, education, and participation throughout the region. The administration is responsible for regional cultural activities and is the principal of Region Dalarna's three folk high schools - Fornby folkhögskola in Borlänge, Malungs folkhögskola, and Mora folkhögskola. Folk high schools are an important part of public education and play a significant role in providing people with opportunities for learning, personal development, and participation in society. Public education contributes to a vibrant association and cultural life and creates meeting places where people can develop knowledge, commitment, and the ability to participate in community life. The position is located at the Support and Development unit in Falun and involves work for Region Dalarna's three folk high schools. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to creating good conditions for the folk high schools to conduct their operations and fulfill their important mission within public education. Job responsibilities As quality controller, you have a central, operational role in ensuring the quality of our folk high schools' documentation, reporting, and administrative processes related to quality and government grants. You work closely with the rectors and other functions in the operations, particularly the schools' administrators and the administration's finance controller, but the role primarily involves implementing, coordinating, and driving the work forward. You therefore need to be someone who enjoys taking charge, creating structure, and ensuring tasks are completed. You are meticulous and quality-conscious, but at the same time pragmatic and solution-oriented. The goal is not to create more administration than necessary, but to ensure that we meet the requirements in a simple, efficient, and appropriate manner. The role is less about developing new working methods and more about ensuring that existing requirements, conditions, and processes work in practice. To succeed with this, you need to have a good understanding of each folk high school's unique conditions and operations. Job responsibilities: Ensure that current government grant conditions and other relevant conditions for folk high school operations are known, applied, and documented, and contribute to ensuring that requirements and conditions are met in a simple, efficient, and appropriate manner. Provide operational support to rectors on quality and follow-up matters. This includes quality-assuring reports, materials, and documentation from the folk high schools. Maintain and administer various follow-up and reporting processes and develop and simplify administrative procedures where needed, particularly related to government grant conditions. Own and manage central documents, procedures, and processes within the quality area. Coordinate and administer risk and vulnerability analyses and follow up on identified risks and measures. Conduct controls and follow-ups to ensure that decided procedures and requirements are complied with. Prepare decision materials for the board and materials for other internal or external needs. Qualifications Requirements We are looking for you who have: Experience of independently working with government grant administration within a folk high school or work experience deemed equivalent Documented experience in quality assurance, follow-up, and reporting Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish verbally and in writing and are accustomed to formulating clear reports and decision materials Good digital skills and ease in learning administrative systems and tools Driver's license category B - work-related travel occurs Meritorious: Good understanding of folk high school operations and the practical conditions for operating a folk high school Experience working in a politically governed organization Basic understanding of financial processes and follow-up Personal qualities We are looking for someone who is operationally-minded and action-oriented. You see what needs to be done and take responsibility for getting it done. You are structured and meticulous and have an easy time creating order in documentation, materials, and deadlines. At the same time, you are pragmatic and have a very good ability to determine what is important and what does not need to be made more complicated than necessary. You enjoy working close to operations and understand that each folk high school has its own conditions. You are responsive to the operations' needs and can adapt your working methods to the individual school, while maintaining the requirements and conditions that must be fulfilled. You work independently and take your own initiatives, but also enjoy collaborating and have an easy time building good relationships with rectors, administrators, and other functions. You are clear in your communication and contribute to constructive and solution-focused collaboration.
