Here you will meet children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable life situations and have the chance to be crucial support on their journey. You will become an important part of an engaged, interprofessional team where collaboration and knowledge exchange are central. The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic in Dalarna is a regional clinic. In Falun there is inpatient care with a neonatal unit and a ward for 0-18 years where, in addition to pediatric patients, surgical and orthopedic patients are treated. For longer outpatient visits and treatments, there is day care activity.
Within outpatient care there are clinics in Falun and Mora where all subspecialties within pediatric medicine are represented. Organizationally, the curator belongs to the paramedical group together with physiotherapists, play therapists, and dietitians.
Work tasks
As a curator with us, you work with psychosocial support and investigation work, crisis conversations, cooperation with schools, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and social services. You actively contribute to the development of our medical work and will meet families within pediatric inpatient and outpatient care. You will also be part of diagnostic teams around children and families together with, among others, doctors, nurses, dietitians, and physiotherapists.
The position is a locum tenens from 2026-10-01 through 2027-09-30.

Requirements:
Degree in Social Work
Meritorious:
Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families within health and medical care
Licensure as a Healthcare Curator
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as flexibility and stress resilience.

Region Dalarna will introduce a requirement for licensure as a Healthcare Curator from 2029-07-01 for those who will work as curators within health and medical care. If you are offered a position and lack licensure, you will need supplementary education to achieve eligibility to apply for licensure. This will be planned in consultation with your direct manager.
