Make a difference. Every day. The Memory Disorders Unit (VE) is a specialist service offering assessment and treatment of cognitive impairment/dementia in both elderly and younger individuals. The service has a well-developed outpatient clinic that includes a memory clinic, mobile team, and memory health services. There is also a unit for clinical drug trials. Research and education are conducted in collaboration with Lund University. We work closely with primary care, municipal services, and other specialist units at Skåne University Hospital (Sus). We are seeking a curator for our team at the memory health unit. The curator group currently consists of six curators, and the unit also employs occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists. Together, we work with the memory clinic in multidisciplinary teams. The unit conducts in-depth assessments, evaluations, and interventions for memory clinic patients—individuals with acquired cognitive impairment. At memory health, we lead and participate in development work and research studies that benefit patients with suspected or diagnosed cognitive disease and/or their next of kin. We are a unit that operates in close collaboration with other units within the service, which means our curator group works holistically and supports each other as a profession. 1 position(s). DUTIES The curator is part of a multiprofessional team focused on patients and their next of kin. With your psychosocial expertise, you contribute to a holistic perspective on the patient based on physical, psychological, social, and existential factors. In your role as a curator with us, you offer various forms of conversations: crisis counseling, supportive contact, mapping, information, and advice. You also facilitate different types of conversation groups for patients and their next of kin. Collaboration with healthcare partners, authorities, and attention to social legal matters are important parts of your responsibilities. Consultation, supervision, and education within the psychosocial field are also included. You will supervise social work students at basic and specialist levels on a regular basis. We offer you continuous external supervision, and curator services at Sus provide profession-specific professional development. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you with a social work degree and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is highly meritorious if you are an authorized health and medical curator. If you belong to an authorized profession, Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. For non-regulated professions, good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required. Experience with cognitive diseases/dementia is viewed positively. Similarly, if you have previous experience with documentation and/or knowledge of Melior, Pasis, or the Office package. Good collaboration skills are essential for the role, and you must be able to work flexibly and responsibly. As a person, you are proactive and positive toward change work.
