Lindénska School is Lerum Municipality's resource school for students within AST. The school has approximately 25 students in lower, middle, and upper secondary levels. The school is located in two separate buildings near Stenkulans School and is organized into three work teams with teachers and resource pedagogues. The work teams work closely with the student health team, which consists of a special educator, counselor, school nurse, vocational guidance counselor, and school psychologist. Mission Statement Lindénska School shall provide students with the conditions to achieve the goals in the curriculum. Student learning is the focus and students shall be active and involved in their learning process. We want to create a safe environment where students dare to take initiative, experiment, learn from mistakes, and express their opinions. Students are given the opportunity to develop for future opportunities and challenges. Clear leadership and an inclusive approach shall characterize the operation. JOB DUTIES We are looking for you who want to work towards an accessible learning environment for students with very extensive support needs. You will work in close collaboration with the special educator, the work teams, and with other staff at the school, which means you function as a team player. At Lindénska School, the student health team is an important piece of the puzzle in developing pedagogical work toward the school's goals. As a counselor, you are also a role model in communicating in more ways than just spoken language. Therefore, you must be able to think outside the box, have great patience, and the ability to meet students where they are. You will lead meetings and be part of school development and the school's quality work and maintain documentation. We see that you have good knowledge of relevant legislation and documentation. The position may be filled pending required decisions being made. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are qualified and have experience working as a school counselor. As a counselor at Lindénska School, it is good if you have expertise and experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and primarily within AST. It is important that you are confident in your profession and as a person and that you are a good communicator who builds relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. At our school, we need you to have stress resilience and a good ability to meet both students and guardians in challenging situations. It is also important that you actively participate in the work team's work around the students and with other common tasks. Knowledge of visual support and Makaton is a merit. The school collaborates with several actors and it is desirable if you have knowledge of documentation and notifications regarding collaboration work. All staff at the school have close and trusting cooperation with guardians.
