About the Operation The Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter (RPK) provides highly specialized care at the regional and national level. In total, there are 78 care beds across seven care units with experienced nurses and nursing assistants. The patient population primarily consists of individuals with psychiatric issues and neuropsychiatric functional disabilities, often with concurrent harmful substance use/addiction. Treatment work is varied with the aim of creating conditions for patients' reintegration into society. The Treatment and Operations Monitoring team works with long-term treatment contacts for patients sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. The team currently consists of psychologists, curators, rehabilitation assistants, addiction treatment specialists, and a unit manager. The team works in close collaboration with physicians and ward staff; the goal is to build skills in patients for a sustainable and functional life outside RPK. Treatment work takes place both individually and in groups. The team is driven and collaboration-oriented; you will be introduced to the forensic psychiatric environment by open and supportive colleagues, several of whom have relocated to the region for this work. This recruitment replaces one of three existing permanent curator positions. Job Responsibilities The curator role includes psychosocial assessments and planning for each patient as well as responsibility for external contacts with, for example, municipalities, employment agencies, and social insurance offices. You are also responsible for planning and coordination regarding housing, employment, finances, and family contacts. As a curator, you may also conduct group treatments and supportive individual counseling. Patient-centered work is largely relationship-building, as stays are typically long and both needs and treatment options often vary over time. RPK Säter is currently in a development phase with a focus on more active and evidence-based treatment work. Development work is ongoing for a more structured care process with expanded methodological approaches and focused quality monitoring. As a curator, you will have excellent opportunities to take a leading role in this development process and to shape the team's work according to the complex needs of the patient population. Opportunities also exist within Region Dalarna for clinic-related research. Qualifications Requirements: Licensed Health and Social Care Curator. Interest in quality work as well as process and method development. Interest in longer-term treatment and change processes. Willingness and drive for close teamwork. Fluid Swedish language skills, spoken and written. Driver's license category B (business travel may occur) Meritorious: Sociology degree and/or Licensed Psychotherapist (strongly meritorious). Experience from Forensic Psychiatry or related 24/7 operations such as Psychiatric inpatient care, SIS, HVB/Treatment homes, etc. (strongly meritorious). Experience from operations in development and/or startup phases (strongly meritorious). Knowledge and/or experience regarding comorbidity (addiction & mental health) and/or domestic violence. Assessment experience and experience working with Neuropsychiatric Functional Disabilities (e.g., TBA). Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
