Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are united in a common administration, organized in regional and local care areas. The Skellefteå Local Care Area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, we work toward providing good and accessible care. With us, you will become part of a clinic with both breadth and specialist expertise. Ward beds are distributed according to medical and geriatric specializations, and most admissions are acute through the emergency department. Outpatient activities include medical, geriatric, and dialysis clinics. The medical clinic also includes day care activities and a physiology laboratory. The clinic also has a research unit, which is unique for a county hospital and contributes to a stimulating work environment. We are now seeking a curator for the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, with duties within the medical field. Here you will have a meaningful assignment in close collaboration with experienced colleagues and secure teams. You will have a varied workday where your expertise is valued and where you have the opportunity to develop in a stimulating and educational work environment. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a curator with us, you will have an important role in supporting patients and their loved ones when life is affected by illness, treatment, and changed living conditions. As a curator at the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, you will work primarily with the clinic's outpatient departments, medical wards, and selected teams. You will meet patients in several specialist areas, such as lung, cardiac, hematology, gastroenterology, and diabetes clinics. Patient meetings take place at your own clinic, on the ward, or in connection with treatment at day care. In this role, you will work with qualified assessment and treatment work, crisis and support conversations, motivational conversations, and psychosocial support to patients and relatives. You also provide guidance and information about practical support in society. Through your conversations, you help patients understand, manage, and find ways forward at different stages of illness and care. The role also includes information and education for patients and relatives. You will become an appreciated and important part of the teams around patients, where your knowledge and professional expertise contribute to the whole. You will be part of the hospital's curator group, where you will receive collegial support and continuous supervision. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work who wants to use your expertise in a meaningful context within geriatric and medical care. Previous experience with curator work and conversation therapy is a merit, as is licensing as a health and medical care curator. You have a good ability to make independent decisions and enjoy working both independently and together with others. As a person, you are responsible, engaged, and curious about a varied workday where no two days are the same. We place great importance on personal suitability. Employment form: Permanent employment.
