Your workplace Within the surgical and urology business area, both acute and planned care are provided for all of Värmland. The clinic comprises three care units: unit 101 with a focus on gastroenterological surgery, unit 102 focusing on acute care, trauma, brain injuries and vascular surgery, and unit 103 providing care for patients within urology, breast–endocrine and general surgery. The surgical clinic's curators also have assignments within orthopedics with a focus on amputations, fractures and post-accident care. Outpatient care at the clinic consists of urological clinics, surgical clinics, endoscopy unit and breast center. On the units, we work in teams with patient-centered care as our working model. We have teamwork with many professions involved in daily operations to help each patient regain their previous abilities to the greatest extent possible. Your responsibilities We are now seeking a curator for the surgical clinic at Centralsjukhuset in Karlstad. We offer you interesting and stimulating work in collaboration with other professional colleagues in the team. The work involves many different collaborative contacts with other authorities and operations. Our efforts are directed at both individuals in our target group and their relatives, representatives and staff. The efforts consist of assessment and treatment work, support, information, advice and consultation. The work is conducted primarily in our own facilities. Together with the operation's other curators, you are part of a professional group where common issues are discussed. You are given opportunities to influence both the operation's and your own profession's content and development. Supervision is offered in the position and work at the surgical clinic provides good opportunities for professional further education and internal competence development. Your knowledge and competencies We are looking for you who are a social worker, preferably with further education. Experience and competence within the surgical target groups is meritorious as is basic education in psychotherapy such as CBT Level 1 or a license as a healthcare and medical curator. We are looking for you who has good empathetic ability and enjoys meeting people. You have an easy time building trust and meet patients and relatives with respect and attentiveness. As a person you are independent and take responsibility for your work, while working well with colleagues. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt to changed conditions and different needs.
