Together we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of being Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Working together with patients, we strive for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within an integrated healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals aim toward care of the highest quality, where the patient is always the focus. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, but also highly specialized care for patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and they contribute to knowledge exchanges nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new ways of working, we can simplify daily operations at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality. About Us The Infection Care Area has four inpatient wards with a total of 56 beds, an outpatient clinic, and consultation services at Sahlgrenska, Mölndal, Kungälv, and Östra Hospital. Inpatient care primarily serves Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities. Within inpatient care, we provide isolation care for individuals with contagious diseases/multidrug-resistant bacteria and treat patients with complicated or unusual infections. Infection also operates an intermediate care unit (IMA) with four beds for caring for individuals with serious infections. At Infection, we care for patients of all ages, both children and frail elderly, with conditions that require close collaboration with virtually all medical specialties. Infection also has a large outpatient clinic primarily for patients with hepatitis, HIV, tuberculosis, tropical diseases, and multidrug-resistant bacteria. Contact tracing work for STIs and HIV under infectious disease control legislation is included in job duties. Research and education are an integrated part of all operations at Infection. About the Role Curator services are part of the same unit as the Infectious Disease Clinic. Work at the infection clinic includes psychosocial assessment and treatment work with patients and their families. Psychosocial treatment work includes crisis processing, supportive and motivating conversations to promote the patient's sense of coping and personal responsibility for their life situation. You also provide advice and information on social matters. You are expected to participate in team work both on wards and at the clinic, and contribute psychosocial expertise to facilitate the patient's experience within healthcare. You will also be the connecting link between internal and external healthcare providers and others in the network around the patient. This may involve collaboration with social services, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Public Employment Service. As a curator, you are responsible, in consultation with the treatment team, for contact tracing work for certain patient groups. Documentation is recorded in Melior. About You You have a social work degree and have worked as a curator for several years. If you are a licensed healthcare curator, this is a merit but not a requirement. When working with patients, collaboration partners, and in team settings, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and an empathetic approach. You are expected to be comfortable independently planning and prioritizing your work. You have a good ability to assess patients' needs and decide on treatment measures accordingly. We value a work climate built on commitment, a positive attitude, curiosity, and interest. We view experience with contact tracing work favorably, and experience working with issues related to sexual health is also desirable but not required. We continuously work with quality and development issues. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We warmly welcome your application!
