About the position
Huddinge Municipality is strengthening its work against intimate partner violence for people with disabilities and is therefore seeking a support function with curator-like assignments.
In this role, you will provide support to people who are exposed to or at risk of being exposed to violence, while also serving as consultative support to operations within the disability field. The assignment encompasses preventive work, individual support, and competence development.
You will, among other things:
- Offer support conversations and psychosocial support to service users
- Inform about rights, support services, and paths to help
- Work on raising awareness about violence, relationships, boundary-setting, and self-esteem
- Identify and notice experiences of violence and violence perpetration
- Coordinate contacts with other authorities and actors
- Contribute to safety planning and protective measures
- Provide consultation, supervision, and support to operations
- Conduct training and contribute to method development in the field
The target group is characterized by varying communication abilities and may have particular difficulties identifying, talking about, or seeking help regarding violence exposure. Therefore, knowledge of the connection between violence, dependency, and disability is central to the assignment.
We are located in premises a stone's throw from Huddinge center, with good transportation.
Who are you?
Qualification requirements
- Social work degree or other education that the employer deems equivalent, such as a behavioral science program
- Documented experience working with intimate partner violence
- Good knowledge of social services' responsibility and services within the violence field
- Experience with supportive conversations and psychosocial work
- Good ability to work independently and in a consultative capacity
- Knowledge of disabilities
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience working within LSS or the disability field
- Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
- Experience in supervision and consultation
- Experience with collaboration between different authorities and operations
- Experience with risk and safety assessments
- Training in intimate partner violence, honor-related violence and oppression, or FREDA
We are looking for someone with a strong user focus and respectful approach. You are confident in complex and sensitive matters, have an easy time creating trusting relationships, and can adapt your communication based on the individual's circumstances. You are pedagogical, enjoy a consultative role, and have good ability to collaborate and build networks.
