The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is Northern Sweden's largest psychiatric clinic with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric inpatient units, forensic psychiatry services, several specialized outpatient clinics and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works toward equitable care and treatment based on research and clinical experience.
We are now seeking a curator for the substance abuse psychiatry clinic, which is part of the psychiatric clinic at Umeå University Hospital.
We consist of two operations: the Clinic for Medication-Assisted Rehabilitation and Treatment for Opioid Dependence (Laro) and the Dual Diagnosis Clinic (DDM), where the target group is patients with substance use disorder and a need for specialized psychiatric care. The curator position applies primarily to the Dual Diagnosis Clinic.
Care and treatment for patients at the Dual Diagnosis Clinic is provided individually and in groups. The clinic works in interprofessional teams consisting of a curator, health care assistant, psychologist, nurse, and physician. Patients also have access to services from an occupational therapist and physical therapist through the clinic.

DUTIES
As a Curator with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.
In your work as a curator with us, you will collaborate with other health professionals to assess, treat, and rehabilitate patients requiring specialist psychiatric competence and resources. Your duties will include both typical curator work such as individual patient consultations, motivational interviewing, individual and group treatment, psychosocial assessments, and support in cooperation with care partners/authorities, for example work-related rehabilitation.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a degree in social work. It is advantageous if you have experience working in psychiatry and work-related rehabilitation/coordination, and credentials as an authorized health and social care curator. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with substance abuse/dependency issues.
We are looking for someone who likes to take initiative, works in an organized manner, and enjoys driving development and change initiatives.
The position requires that you are confident in your role, have a good ethical approach, can work independently and with a patient focus, and see opportunities and take initiative to develop your role at the clinic.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
