Språkskolan is seeking a counselor at 40% for our primary school F-6. The position is based two days per week, either Wednesday-Thursday or Thursday-Friday. We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with students, guardians, and school staff, and who thrives in a smaller organization where you can work independently with your assignment while also collaborating closely with colleagues. As a counselor with us, you will be part of the school's student wellbeing work and contribute a psychosocial perspective to efforts for student safety, development, and learning. Previous experience working with grades F-6 is considered advantageous. The work takes place at individual, group, and organizational levels. Job responsibilities may include supportive and advisory conversations with students, contact and collaboration with guardians, participation in the school's student wellbeing team, collaboration with teachers and other staff, contact with external actors when needed, documentation and follow-up within the scope of the assignment, and work with safety, attendance, and social matters. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working as a school counselor or working with children in primary school age. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You need to be able to work independently, build trusting relationships with students, and at the same time have close and professional collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
