School Counselor at Praktiska Gymnasiet in HALMSTAD
Do you want to be a trusted adult, a listening voice, and a driving force for student well-being? Then we are looking for you as a school counselor at our school – an important key person in our student health work with a focus on attendance, preventive measures, and strong collaboration.
With us, you will meet a vocational school with 300 students, nine different programs, and a warm and collaborative work environment. Here, relationships, safety, and faith in the future are at the center. We believe in the power of working together – across subject areas and professions – and you will play a central role in that work.
As a school counselor, you will be part of our student health team and work closely with teachers, mentors, the student health team, and school leadership. Your work is both preventive and promotional, and you will have a key role in investigating, understanding, and working with student absences – with the goal of creating a school where everyone wants to and can be present.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker or has equivalent counselor qualifications. You:
Have experience with student health work in schools or similar activities
Have the ability to build trust and meet young people in different life situations
Are organized, collaboration-oriented, and self-driven
Are passionate about working preventively, promotively, and solution-focused
If you have experience with absence investigations, that is a great plus!
