Job Description Would you like to be part of developing and promoting the municipality's cultural heritage? As a Cultural Heritage Officer, you are responsible for the municipality's cultural heritage work and provide expert knowledge on cultural heritage issues in community development. You work independently with both strategic and operational matters and collaborate with colleagues across multiple operational areas. The position is placed within culture and recreation services but involves close collaboration with community development services, other municipal services, authorities, associations, and residents. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Serve as the municipality's expert in cultural heritage and cultural environment matters. Participate in detailed planning processes and prepare cultural heritage documentation and assessments. Handle and provide cultural heritage statements in connection with building permits and demolition matters. Work on issues related to the Cultural Heritage Act, the Planning and Building Act, and the Environmental Code. Be responsible for the care, development, and accessibility of the municipality's cultural historical environments. Collaborate with cultural historical associations and other non-profit actors. Plan and conduct guided tours, viewings, and other public activities. Conduct research and prepare documentation, texts, and scripts for cultural historical contexts. Process invoices and perform certain administrative follow-up. We are looking for someone with: University degree in archaeology, cultural heritage conservation, building conservation program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Strong knowledge of the Cultural Heritage Act and cultural heritage matters. Experience in cultural heritage work within public services, consulting, or equivalent. Excellent ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish. Good digital competence and experience working in various operational systems and digital platforms.
