Piltene Cultural Center Director
Requirements:
• Professional secondary education in a relevant field; higher education in cultural management or related fields is considered an advantage;
• Desirable practical work experience or previous involvement in cultural activities;
• State language proficiency at an advanced level;
• Understanding of the significance of cultural work for the local community;
• Strong organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, both working individually and in teams;
• Creative approach to work, ability to respond quickly and find appropriate solutions in various situations;
• Skills in working with information systems and communication technologies;
• Category B driver's license is desirable.
Main Job Responsibilities:
• Organize, plan, and coordinate cultural activities in Piltene city and parish;
• Develop a cultural events work plan, organize and administer city and parish-level cultural events, taking into account community interests and needs in the cultural field;
• Oversee the implementation of national cultural policy in the municipality;
• Provide methodological assistance to amateur arts collective leaders at the cultural center on cultural matters;
• Record work hours of amateur arts collective leaders at the cultural center and manage documentation;
• Organize amateur arts collectives' participation in municipal and national events and competitions;
• Develop a balanced budget, plan, and organize the cultural center's economic and financial operations within the approved budget framework;
• Plan and organize cultural events in the cultural center's facilities;
• Provide reports to the Latvian Digital Cultural Map (www.kulturaskarte.lv) and copyright agency.
