As a cryptologist in the Crypto and IT Security Division, you will work alongside some of Sweden's leading experts in both cryptology and IT security more broadly. MUST is a knowledge organization and we place great emphasis on educating our staff. As a cryptologist, you will have the opportunity to deepen and develop your expertise within cryptology. We actively collaborate with other government agencies as well as universities and colleges, in Sweden and abroad. Primary Responsibilities As a cryptologist at MUST, you will work with: Developing and analyzing cryptographic algorithms and cryptographic protocols Specifying requirements for and reviewing cryptosystems Developing policies, standards, and methods within cryptology Conducting continuous monitoring of external developments. Much of the work is carried out in project form where you work together with experts in other IT security-related areas. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Holds a civil engineering degree or master's degree in mathematics, computer science, technical physics, or a related field Has strong knowledge of mathematics and some knowledge of programming Is accustomed to reading scientific literature and technical documentation Is experienced in writing reports and making oral presentations in both Swedish and English Has doctoral training in a subject relevant to the position or has documented experience within the cryptology field. Meritorious It is advantageous if you: Have strong programming skills Have previous experience working with security-critical systems or signal protection systems. Personal Qualities You are curious about knowledge and have the right background to quickly master all aspects of cryptology. You are interested in both theoretical cryptology and practical application. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues in a constructive manner. You are skilled at collaborating with others while being proactive and taking responsibility for your own work. You have good problem-solving abilities and are organized, thorough, unpretentious, and solution-oriented. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities during selection.
