About the job As an enforcement officer, you work within one or more of the Enforcement Agency's areas of operation: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt relief, and supervision in bankruptcy/restructuring. You are responsible for the legal quality of case handling. Your work spans multiple areas of law, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, property law, and summary proceedings. In summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases involving payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance. In enforcement, you are an integral part of exercising authority in enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and tenant-ownership sales. In debt relief, you investigate the conditions for debt relief in review and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters. In bankruptcy supervision, you monitor that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of business restructurers. You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct training, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to referrals, and write opinions for courts. The role also includes representing the agency in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties. You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. In the training, you will alternate between theory and practice and apply the law within our various operations. There is both opportunity and expectation that you will work in the different operational departments over time. Everyone who works at the Enforcement Agency contributes to crime prevention efforts. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and reporting suspected crimes to other authorities. As an enforcement officer/trainee, you can help prevent various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This may result in you helping prevent welfare fraud. Possible work locations are Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby. Your qualifications: - Nordic law degree - Completed Swedish notary apprenticeship - Swedish citizenship - Driver's license for manual transmission vehicle It is desirable that you have two years of current work experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or authority in a decision-making role after completing your notary service. Good to know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start your employment as an enforcement officer trainee and after completing the training, you receive the title of enforcement officer. The Enforcement Agency offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This position requires Swedish citizenship. Travel may occur in the role. Working in the state means you follow the state's core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security thinking, and compliance with applicable laws. We will ask questions at the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions will also be posed to references. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Agency, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions.
