About the job
As an enforcement officer, you work within one or more of the Enforcement Authority's operational areas: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt relief, and supervision in bankruptcy/restructuring. You are responsible for the legal quality in case handling. Your work spans several areas of law, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, property law, and summary proceedings.
Within summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases involving payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance.
Within enforcement, you are an integral part of the authority's exercise when conducting enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and housing rights sales.
Within debt relief, you investigate the conditions for debt relief in reconsideration and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters.
Within bankruptcy supervision, you monitor that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of corporate restructurers.
You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct training, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to requests for statements, and write opinions to courts. The role also includes representing the authority in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties.
You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. In the training, you will alternate between theory and practice and apply law within our different operations. There is both opportunity and expectation that over time you will work in the different operational departments.
Everyone who works at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the work against crime. Your work tasks include identifying and preventing attempted crime and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As an enforcement officer/trainee, you can counteract various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This can result in you helping to prevent welfare crimes.
Possible placement locations are Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby.

Your qualifications:
Nordic law degree
Completed Swedish notary apprenticeship
Swedish citizenship
Driver's license for manual transmission vehicle.
It is desirable that you have two years of current professional experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or authority in a decision-making role after completing your notary service.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start your employment as an enforcement officer trainee and after completing the training, you will receive the title of enforcement officer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This employment requires Swedish citizenship.
Travel may occur in the position.
Working in the state means you follow the state value system. Special demands are also placed on judgment, security mindfulness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask interview questions about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions will also be asked of references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business bans. Information obtained will be weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with register check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
