About the job As an enforcement officer, you work within one or more of the Enforcement Agency's operational areas: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt settlement, and supervision in bankruptcy/restructuring. You are responsible for the legal quality in case handling. Your work spans multiple legal areas, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, property law, and summary proceedings. Within summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases involving payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance. Within enforcement, you are an integral part of agency operations in enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and housing rights sales. Within debt settlement, you investigate the conditions for debt settlement in review and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters. Within bankruptcy supervision, you ensure that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of corporate restructurers. You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct training, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to referrals, and write statements to courts. The role also includes representing the agency in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties. You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. During training, you will alternate between theory and practice and apply law within our various operational areas. There is both opportunity and expectation to work in different operational departments over time. Everyone working at the Enforcement Agency contributes to crime prevention. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempted crime and reporting suspected crimes to other authorities. As an enforcement officer/trainee, you can, for example, combat various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This may result in helping prevent welfare fraud. Possible placement locations are Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby. Your qualifications: Nordic law degree Completed Swedish notary traineeship Swedish citizenship Driver's license for manual transmission cars It is desirable that you have two years of current work experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or government agency in a decision-making role after completing your notary traineeship. Good to know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start your employment as an enforcement officer trainee and after completing your training, you receive the title of enforcement officer. The Enforcement Agency offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This position requires Swedish citizenship. Travel may occur in this position. Working for the state means you follow the state's core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask interview questions about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Agency, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions.
