No. 90000076673 invites applications for History Department Collection Storage Assistant (prof. classifier code 2621 03) (full-time, indefinite contract) Responsibilities: perform marking of museum objects, prepare them for storage, place them in storage facilities, mark topography, prepare inventory cards; manufacture packaging for collection objects, replace old packaging; participate in collection preservation surveys and implement necessary measures for collection maintenance; perform digitalization and registration of collection objects (scanning, file organization, database entry); when necessary, participate in preparation of museum exhibitions and collection displays; when necessary, perform other tasks related to the museum collection. Requirements for candidates: high sense of responsibility and positive attitude toward work; work experience in a memory institution (museum, archive, library), as well as appropriate academic or professional education will be considered an advantage (can be a student); good computer skills (commonly used software); good communication and cooperation skills; excellent knowledge of Latvian language. We offer: full-time employment with indefinite contract at the location in Riga, Pulka Street 8; new and modern work premises; social guarantees in accordance with state administration provisions; health insurance after probation period; work in a positive and dynamic environment at one of the oldest and largest museums in Latvia; salary up to 835.00 EUR (before tax).
