No. 90009113532) Talsu novada muzejs announces an open competition for a vacant COLLECTIONS MANAGER position (Code according to the Occupational Classification 2621 03) Main responsibilities of the position: • Assembly, inventory, and preservation of museum collections; • Data entry into the collection database management system and the National Museum Collections Union Catalog; • Creation of museum collection accounting documentation in accordance with requirements, organization, and preservation; • Conducting condition and preservation assessments of collections; • Preparation of collection restoration projects for fundraising purposes; • Scientific research work; • Exhibit development; • Leading guided tours in the museum storage facility; • Consulting with visitors to the collections department. Requirements for candidates: • Higher education (education in history will be considered an advantage); • Excellent state language skills (knowledge of foreign languages will be considered an advantage); • Computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint); • Accuracy, high sense of responsibility, positive attitude toward work; • Ability to organize your work, work independently and in a team.
