About the Position
In the role of Power System Specialist, you will ensure that Svenska kraftnät maintains balanced requirements for customers connecting to the electricity system. You will consolidate and evaluate the requirements landscape related to grid codes such as RfG, HVDC, and DCC. The role also includes communicating and justifying requirements, as well as leading and driving strategic and operational work forward both in Sweden, the Nordic region, and Europe. You will work at the intersection of technology, law, and societal benefit, and drive development within new regulations. An important part of the role is also to take coordinating responsibility toward internal experts.

You will be part of the Connection Requirements unit, which currently consists of nine employees with a mixed age and gender distribution. The unit's responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive requirements picture of capabilities that must be met by production and consumption facilities, as well as distribution systems when connecting to the electricity system or modernizing already connected facilities. The purpose of Svenska kraftnät's requirements is to maintain operational security in the Swedish electricity system, while also being functional, well-justified, and economically efficient. We have a clearly coordinating role, which means interfaces within the department and with other departments at Svenska kraftnät.

Education:
You have a relevant Master's degree in, for example, electrical power, energy systems, control engineering, or engineering physics, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent.
You also have:
- at least three years of relevant work experience in, for example, power system analysis or technical project management
- good knowledge of the power system and its functions
- strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
- experience working with grid codes RfG, DCC, HVDC, SOGL, or ER
- experience working with power system operation
- experience with commissioning of power generation facilities or commissioning of large consumption facilities
- experience with converter-connected production and consumption facilities.

The position is based in Sundbyberg or Västerås
Possibility of remote work up to 50%, if the work allows. #LI-hybrid.
Travel may occur both nationally and internationally
