About the Position
As a Power System Analyst in Grid Planning, you will work with analysis, planning, and development of the transmission network. You will be responsible for:
Investigating and proposing technical designs for connections to the transmission network
Conducting grid analyses and studies as well as performing network capacity calculations
Developing proposals for measures to increase transmission capacity in internal transmission corridors and international connections
Taking on a coordinating role with responsibility for long-term outage planning in your area, as well as contributing to and alleviating work in this area
Serving as a central link between programs and projects
Supporting project activities and customer-responsible staff with grid analyses and expert support on grid planning matters as well as technical requirements for new connections.
The work involves a combination of independent analytical work and collaboration within larger teams. You will be responsible for driving your analyses forward independently while continuously engaging in dialogue and collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders.
The role offers good opportunities to further develop your skills in both investigation and project management, for example by taking on responsibility for one of our larger investigation projects. You'll also have the opportunity to engage in international collaboration forums and participate in internal cross-functional groups working to advance our investigation and investment processes.
You will be part of the Southern Grid Planning unit, which is responsible for designing and developing the power system based on Svenska kraftnät's role as grid owner and meeting the surrounding world's need for network capacity in southern Sweden. The unit currently consists of 11 employees located at our various offices. We value respect for one another, curiosity, openness, and care for each other. Education:
You have a degree in Civil Engineering or a Master's degree with relevant specialization for the position, such as electrical power, energy systems, or engineering physics, or equivalent experience acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent.
You also have:
At least three years of professional experience in power system analysis
Fluency in expressing yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Desirable:
Experience in grid planning at transmission grid companies, regional grid companies, or similar
Experience in grid planning during outages
Experience with PSS/E or other grid calculation tools
Experience with Python programming.

The position is located in Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, or Sollefteå
Possibility of remote work up to 50%, if work permits. #LI-hybrid.
Travel is included in the position a few days per year, primarily within Sweden
