Job Description We are now looking for an experienced power line designer with solid expertise in design, construction, and documentation of regional and transmission grid facilities. In the role of Power Line Designer at ONE Nordic Konsult, you will be responsible for complex projects throughout the design process, from preliminary studies, route studies, and financial calculations to preparing complete tender documents for construction procurement and construction support. You will work closely with clients, project managers, licensing and permit handlers, landowners, authorities, and contractors. Your main responsibilities: Independent consulting work in designing line adjustments for new construction and renovations Route alignment, line calculations, pole positioning, dimensioning, and preparation of project descriptions and tender documents Technical advice in close dialogue with clients and contractors Who are you? You thrive in a consulting role with many contact points and find it easy to build trusting relationships, both internally and externally. You are business-minded, solution-oriented, and have a strong focus on safety. You understand the value of combining technical quality with customer value, and see yourself as an advisory partner who contributes to long-term customer relationships and sustainable solutions. Your Expertise We are looking for someone with several years of experience designing power lines, 145 kV and preferably up to 400 kV, and who is comfortable working independently on assignments with significant responsibility. You have relevant technical education, such as a degree as a technical engineer or industrial engineer with supplementary education in electrical power systems and system architecture. You have at least 5 years of experience in regional and/or transmission grids in a design role and good knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for power line construction.
