The gynecology clinic is part of the obstetrics and gynecology operations at Visby Hospital, which includes obstetric and gynecological inpatient care, maternity ward, gynecology clinic, midwifery clinic, and youth clinic. The operations have approximately 80 employees in total. At the clinic, nursing assistants, midwives, physicians, nurses, and counselors work with patients with various gynecological needs, ranging from examinations and treatments to various clinical issues and investigations of different conditions or complaints. The clinic functions partly as a gynecological emergency unit, which means varying and dynamic workdays. Your responsibilities You will work to coordinate and manage the clinic's daily and weekly patient flow, including scheduled visits, waiting lists, bookings via TeleQ and 1177, and urgent matters. The work includes some telephone counseling, direct patient contact, and active participation in operations development and improvement work. The role also includes having some oversight of staffing, identifying personnel needs, and contributing to scheduling planning and follow-up. Who are you? You are an experienced nurse, preferably with experience in gynecology and clinic work. You need to be flexible in your work approach as the pace can change quickly and reprioritization and task distribution can change with short notice. Good administrative skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are important.
