We are now recruiting several experienced Control System Engineers who want to help build the future maintenance operations! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic mobilization to build stronger, more resilient, and completely in-house capability in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. In a time when the outside world demands increasingly higher standards for robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to ensure a power grid that can handle difficult conditions and delivers when needed most. Responsibilities and Tasks As a Control System Engineer, you will be part of our engineering department, a competence-driven part of Vattenfall Eldistribution with approximately 50 engineers across the country. The role involves strong focus on safety, quality, progress, and commitment. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do; in a high-risk environment, we look out for each other and create security together. Your main responsibilities: Maintenance testing Commissioning, configuration, and testing of control systems Troubleshooting and relay switching Work with remote controls and other station equipment Minor design adjustments in connection with commissioning Day trips are a natural part of the position, but trips with overnight stays may also occur. On-call duty may be part of the assignment. Since you will have contact with both internal and external contacts, we are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. You are structured, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work. In addition to your personal qualities, we would like you to have: Post-secondary electrical power education or equivalent work experience in electrical power Several years of experience working with control systems/testing in the voltage range 0.4-400kV Good knowledge of electrical power systems Good computer skills B-class driver's license Fluent Swedish in speech and writing, and good knowledge of English We consider it a merit if you have: Worked at voltage levels above 130 kV Experience with IEC 61850 Experience independently performing design adaptations Design of smaller projects, individual equipment replacements, control equipment, relay protection, or similar Experience with AutoCAD Elmaster Additional Information We offer an exciting work day and good work-life balance at an attractive workplace with great opportunities for development.
