Description We are looking for a colleague to join our home health services in Karlstad to work as a continence care nurse. As a continence care nurse in home health services, you will have a varied, educational, and exciting job where you work both independently and as part of a team. Our care recipients are Karlstad residents aged seven and above. We offer an introduction tailored to your needs as a new employee, with guidance from your team colleagues and training from our mentors. Job Responsibilities We are currently focused on creating a new position to support our nurses, and it is important that you are interested in being part of driving the development of this role and service area. You will have significant autonomy to develop the position independently with support from managers and operations developers. You will continuously align on progress and report back to your immediate supervisor. As a continence care nurse, you will have primary responsibility for overall training of our nurses, mainly through guidance during patient cases. You will conduct home visits together with the patient-responsible nurse (PAS) and assess which interventions should be performed by the team, as well as act in an advisory capacity when needed. You will also be responsible for staying updated on our current agreements within this area. As a nurse in municipal care, you collaborate with different professional categories and agencies involved in the care recipient's care. You also participate in improvement and development work within the team and organization. Work hours are primarily during daytime, but to get a complete overview of the entire service area, you will also work some evenings. During the summer months of June, July, and August, you will work as a resource within the operation, which may include, for example, substituting for the PAS in an area during the period you are not on vacation. Qualifications You are a licensed nurse. Education in wound care, district nursing, and prescription authority is advantageous, as is experience in geriatric care and/or work in municipal health and care services. You need a Class B driver's license to travel to our patients and should also be able to cycle. The position requires a professional approach and good conduct according to our values when interacting with our care recipients, relatives, and partners. As a person, you are therefore collaborative, flexible, able to work independently, and have good communication and teamwork skills.
