Production-Focused Design Engineer – Take a Key Role in Production at Glimakra of Sweden Glimakra of Sweden is seeking a design engineer for our production facility in Glimåkra. This is a project-based position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role. Would you like to work in an environment where design, craftsmanship, and industrial production meet? With us, you'll play a central role in ensuring that our furniture maintains high quality – from drawing to finished product. We're looking for someone with production engineering experience with a strong foundation in hands-on production work, who wants to help develop our methods, strengthen quality, and create structure in production. Responsibilities As a design engineer, you'll work closely with production in an operation where precision, material knowledge, and well-thought-out solutions are essential. You'll play a central role in ensuring a uniform approach in line with our group's standards for drawings, with a focus on creating real value and working seamlessly in production. You'll actively contribute new ideas and develop solutions that create clear value for both customers and production. You'll actively work to improve and develop our existing drawings to meet both production and customer needs. Your role includes, among other things: Drive, implement, and further develop the group's standards for design and production drawings Structure and build drawing catalogs in our drawing libraries Ensure clear guidelines for naming, drawing headers, and revision management Review, quality assure, and update existing drawing documentation Ensure that drawings meet production requirements for dimensioning, tolerances, and execution Adapt drawings based on materials, joints, and manufacturing methods in furniture production Work closely with production to ensure that drawing documentation can be used directly in manufacturing Qualifications We're looking for someone who wants to use their experience in a role where you can make an impact and develop. You have: Experience working with design and production drawings Production engineering experience with a strong foundation in hands-on production work Experience from industrial manufacturing, preferably in the wood or furniture industry Good understanding of production processes and standardized working methods Ability to work independently, systematically, and solution-oriented CAD experience, preferably Inventor About the Employer Glimakra of Sweden operates industrial furniture manufacturing with production in Glimåkra.
