The Project Engineers South division consists of approximately 20 dedicated engineers specializing in electrical construction, automation, and mechanical construction. Geographically, we are located at multiple sites throughout Sweden, working together as a tight team remotely. We are responsible for developing constructions for control facilities for switchgear stations and hydropower stations. Travel is part of the job to visit the stations. At Vattenfall Services, more than 170 engineers work with control facilities and testing throughout Sweden, which means we offer good opportunities for collaboration and development for our engineers. Are you the one we are looking for when we now recruit a construction manager for our Station Projects? About the Role What does a Construction Manager for Station Projects do with us? Our customers are within energy companies, network operators, industries, and infrastructure companies. The position involves leading our electrical engineers who develop electrical designs for station projects for transformer stations. This includes design of control facilities, local power, protective relays, communications, etc. VSN handles station projects at all voltage levels from 10 kV to 400 kV. The projects involve both renovation and new construction projects. You have one or more engineers in your project team whom you lead, discuss technical solutions with, and review their work. You lead multiple projects in parallel. Within the scope of the projects, you report to the project manager. You have technical responsibility while the project manager has commercial responsibility. Here are examples of work tasks/responsibilities that will be included: Lead work on preparing complete electrical designs Review of colleagues' designs Ensure technical function and contract compliance Customer dialogue regarding technical solutions Review of supplier technical solutions Review of supplier deliveries such as GIS switchgear, transformers, etc. Be a mentor to junior employees in Elmaster Be a super user in Elmaster Requirements Specification We are looking for you who are analytical and enjoy solving complex problems; for you, nothing is impossible! You are very well versed in the field and enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. Taking on a task and seeing it through to completion together with the construction team is self-evident for you. Since the work involves complex issues, we also want you to be structured in your approach. We know you will develop with us. However, we would like you to already have: Many years of experience in designing control facilities for switchgear stations or hydropower stations Experience in configuring protective relays Experience with RTU, backup alarm transmitters, PLC programming A post-secondary electrical power education or equivalent professional experience in electrical power Good knowledge of Elmaster Good IT and computer skills Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Driver's license category B is required Meritorious: Leadership experience, good pedagogical abilities Experience mentoring junior electrical engineers Good knowledge of Elprocad or EPLAN Additional Information We Offer After several decades in the energy industry, we know that our employees are our most important and valuable asset.
