About the Operations The Art Unit, placed within the Strategic Property Functions area, is responsible for the artistic design of the properties where Västra Götalandsregionen conducts its operations. Västra Götalandsregionen applies the 1% rule for new construction and renovations, and the Art Unit leads the work on artistic design and manages and develops the existing art collection. The unit consists of 15 employees and is led by the Art Director. All Art Project Managers are based in Gothenburg, while other colleagues are distributed across various locations. About the Work As an Art Project Manager, you will be part of the Art Unit's project manager team, which together develops work processes and is responsible for leading art commissions generated within the region's building projects. The work involves simultaneously project-managing several art projects in different phases, which means you work daily with planning, implementation, and follow-up. You work broadly across the organization with an extensive network and contacts throughout, and you engage in dialogue and consultation with others both internally and externally. These dialogues are central to the role, which is why we place great emphasis on your ability to build relationships. You will write art programs, create reference groups, and lead selection processes. In the early stages, you identify locations for art and work in close collaboration with architects, building projects, and operations. During the project, you work closely with artists in your capacity as the client. Upon handover to facility management, you ensure there is a well-anchored and clearly described maintenance and care description. You also contribute to outreach efforts. The role involves work with budgets, financial forecasts, and other alignments both internally and externally. Your work spans large geographic areas with art projects throughout Västra Götalandsregionen. The tasks are partly administrative, to some extent practical and strategic, and require strong organizational ability. In the unit, we value helping one another, which means you may work on various tasks outside the art project manager role. Placement is in Gothenburg, in modern facilities in the Region's building. Since travel is part of the role, you must have a driver's license (category B). Where possible, we prefer to use public transportation for travel. About You We are seeking someone with an academic degree in, for example, art, art history, or cultural studies, or equivalent education. You have several years of experience working in the art and/or culture field and documented experience working with public art. You have knowledge of the processes and regulations governing the field. You have excellent ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish. We see that you have the ability to lead multiple different processes simultaneously and good digital competence. A driver's license (category B) is a requirement for the position. It is a merit if you have worked with art in building projects. Recruitment Process In this process, we do not require a personal letter.
