ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a large and well-established Swedish corporation with operations across multiple areas and a comprehensive finance function. Here you will be offered a qualified role in an organization where the finance function plays an important part in the company's development and long-term work. We are now looking for a group economist for a temporary position of 12–15 months with a planned start in the fall. For the right person, there is an opportunity to become an important part of a specialist function that works closely with the business on advanced accounting, analysis, and project-related matters. ABOUT THE ROLE As a group economist, you will work with qualified matters within group accounting, financial reporting, and economic analysis. The role belongs to a specialist function and involves many contact points across the organization. You will be an important resource in connection with various types of group-wide projects and changes, where you contribute with analyses, accounting assessments, and decision-making materials. Your work tasks consist of, among other things: Work with group accounting and group-wide accounting matters Participate in various types of transaction- and project-related financial work Conduct economic analyses and investigations Prepare and review acquisition- and change-related balance sheets Work with pro forma accounting and financial calculations Participate in various analysis, review, and investigation processes Handle accounting matters related to changes within the group Take responsibility for or participate in transaction- and project-related year-end closing tasks Quality assure reporting materials and economic analyses Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, and working methods The role offers great variety and broad responsibility where you get the opportunity to work both strategically and operationally. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in group accounting while gaining insight into several aspects of the company's financial work. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for someone with an academic education in economics and experience with qualified financial work. You have a good understanding of accounting and feel confident handling complex financial matters. You are used to working independently and thrive in a smaller specialist function where you are expected to take personal responsibility while working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
