Description RSU stands for Regional Special Education Group and is designed for students who need a higher teacher-to-student ratio and smaller teaching groups. RSU Järva currently consists of three different groups. South and North, which focus on grades 4-6. Then there is a group called Järva 7-9 for older students. Currently, the groups consist of approximately 10 students from different schools and about 5 staff per group with various competencies. By fall 2026, there will be 2 groups (4-6 and 7-9), both located in the same premises in Akalla. Students in an RSU group (regional special education group) are placed there by their home school for a limited time. We are now seeking a team member for the 4-6 group, which operates in premises near Akalla Elementary School. Your Role We are looking for a certified teacher with certification to teach Swedish, social studies, and English in grades 4-6. Beyond teaching students, the assignment includes supporting students throughout the school day and serving as a mentor. This is to work together with other educators to create the best possible conditions for students' learning and development, both academically and socially. Collaboration within the work team is important, and it's important to be willing to reconsider and be flexible. It's important that you are open to trying new ways of teaching and working to meet students' needs. A prerequisite for success is creating good relationships with students and their guardians. Qualifications Requirements Certified teacher with certification to teach Swedish, social studies, and English in grades 4-6. You can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious Certification in multiple subjects relevant to the current grade levels. Previous work within LSU, CSU, RSU, or equivalent activities. Worked in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. Other Competencies You are a confident leader in the classroom and have experience meeting children's diverse needs. You find it easy to build relationships with students and see it as a tool for your success in your work. You have a positive view of students and believe that all children want to succeed with the right conditions. You are attentive and flexible and find it easy to collaborate with other staff. You have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships with guardians and other external stakeholders. You are accustomed to documenting students' development and have good communication skills in both speech and writing. You have good digital competence.
