Competent Chef/Cook at Mälargården Rehab Center; Sigtuna

We are now seeking an engaged and quality-conscious Chef/Cook with strong leadership skills. Do you want to lead motivated and skilled team members? If so, you might be just who we're looking for! Our kitchen is currently staffed by a head chef, two cooks, and a dining room attendant. At Mälargården Rehab Center, we provide planned specialized rehabilitation through inpatient and day rehabilitation on behalf of Region Stockholm. Patients come to Mälargården for rehabilitation in Neurology and after cancer treatment. Our operations run Monday through Friday. We are seeking a skilled chef/cook with knowledge and interest in special diets who is interested in working in a positive atmosphere with pleasant and competent colleagues. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks to approximately 25 guests per day. Special diets are common among our patients. Together, we work toward the goal of delivering the best possible meals to our guests. Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least three years of upper secondary education in a food program, or alternatively other documented relevant education in the field, with several years of experience working in large-scale kitchens or restaurants. If you have experience with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility, that is a merit. You are confident in your work role and have the ability to inspire and motivate your team members through collaboration and structure. Requirement: Knowledge of food hygiene and self-inspection according to HACCP. Requirement: Ability to cook. Requirement: Knowledge of common special diets and how they should be handled. Merit: Knowledge of large-scale kitchen economics, some computer skills, and staff planning.
