Today the office unit consists of two municipal secretaries, registrar, archivist, receptionist and office manager. Job Responsibilities In your role as municipal secretary, you are one of two key persons for coordinating and administering the case process to the municipal council, environment and building committee, social committee, election committee, municipal executive board and its committees. You are responsible for the political case process by compiling notices and documents and, through qualified secretarial work, recording minutes in our political bodies. You will also review decision materials and ensure that cases are handled correctly before political decisions are made. We also want you to have several years of experience working in a politically governed organization. If you have previous experience with investigations, that is meriting. Personal Qualities We are looking for you who are engaged, solution-oriented, flexible, efficient and thorough. You have a professional service-oriented approach, are development-oriented and drive matters independently within your field. You should enjoy working with both administrative tasks and strategic development issues. You understand how a politically governed organization functions and are familiar with the Municipal Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and personal data handling. Order and organization are essential to succeed and you have the ability to translate process thinking into practice. You are comfortable in the role of secretary and handle the Swedish language excellently in both speech and writing. Since we work in teams, we see that you are a relationship-building person who appreciates collaboration with others. You are also quick to learn and adapt to what the situation requires. You are an initiative-taking person and come with constructive suggestions for improvements so that we as an administration and organization can deliver with high quality and continue to develop. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Working Hours/Duration The position is permanent and full-time. You typically work daytime hours, but since the municipal council holds its meetings in the evenings, this is also part of the municipal secretary's work.
