Communication Officer Temporary Position 1 Year with Possibility for Extension

We're now seeking an experienced communicator who can drive communication work both strategically and operationally, enjoys collaborating, and sees opportunities in finding new solutions together with others. The Communications Unit consists of three communicators and a communications manager. We're seeking a temporary replacement for two years while one of our communicators takes study leave. The unit also includes Vellinge Direct customer service, a gateway for residents to contact the municipality. A strategic service function that connects residents' needs with the municipality's operations. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a communicator, you'll have a broad and independent role in a small communications unit that supports the municipality's operations on both strategic and operational communication matters. You plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives for different target groups and channels, with a particular focus on digital communication. Your assignment includes providing support to managers and employees through a consultative approach, developing communication plans, and contributing to clear, accessible, and relevant communication. You both develop and maintain content on the municipality's website and intranet, plan the municipality's presence in social media, and produce both printed materials and content for digital channels. The role also involves handling event-driven assignments and quickly grasping new complex issues. When needed, you're responsible for press and crisis communication. You drive the work independently, but collaborate closely with colleagues and operations in joint projects. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with at least five years of experience in communication work, preferably from the public sector. You have an academic degree in media and communication science or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You're experienced in planning, producing, and following up on communication initiatives in digital channels. You have excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and have good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Meta Business Suite, Office 365, and CMS. Experience with Sitevision and Sharepoint is advantageous. It's advantageous if you have experience with accessible digital communication, working in a politically governed organization, and using AI as support in communication work. As a person, you're self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented. You have a consultative approach, build good relationships, and translate complex issues into clear communication for different audiences. You thrive in a role where you alternate between strategic planning, advisory, and practical implementation. A Class B driver's license is required for this position.
