We are seeking a temporary communications officer for our Sales and Communications department. To succeed in this role, you are an operational and communicative doer who thrives in hands-on work—equally skilled at producing content as at administering products, coordinating mailings, and managing publishing in our CMS and CRM systems. You are meticulous with a strong sense of proofreading and tone, collaborate easily with others, and are driven by maintaining structure, timelines, and follow-up. The assignment involves combining ongoing production, content creation, and proofreading work for both digital channels and physical environments with administrative work and system management. It is a multifaceted role that requires equal parts creativity and curiosity as organization and attention to detail. Main responsibilities: Developing and implementing communication plans to reach specific target audiences Planning and executing communication for programs and events Managing content and products in digital systems Production for digital channels, CRM, and targeted mailings Data-driven monitoring and analysis of communication efforts, plus report compilation Ongoing production and administration of content for sales and communication initiatives Text production and proofreading for digital channels and physical environments ABOUT THE POSITION This is a parental leave replacement position for approximately one year. You will be part of a unit consisting of four employees and one unit manager. We work closely together, and in many assignments, several or all of us are involved. The unit belongs to the Sales and Communications department. Within the department, we collaborate closely and continuously give feedback on each other's work, so it is important that you are unpretentious and open to colleagues' input. We are an operation where everyone needs to work operationally with varying tasks within the department's mandate. Required qualifications: University or vocational school degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent documented education and experience At least 3 years of documented experience in communications work Experience with operational content work Documented ability to create target audience- and channel-appropriate communication Excellent written communication skills in Swedish and corresponding good English skills Strong knowledge of relevant production tools and digital systems Good collaboration skills and experience with cross-functional work ABOUT UNIVERSEUM Universeum is Sweden's national science center and one of the most visited attractions in Sweden.
