JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking an outward-facing communications officer who wants to contribute to the Kiruna2029 project. In this role, you will work broadly with communications issues in a large organization. You will have a meaningful role and collaborate with managers, staff, and external stakeholders. In addition to your area of responsibility, you will support operations with their daily communications. You move seamlessly between different target audiences and channels. You activate the project's communication strategy in line with the bid book, while implementing and following up on concrete communications initiatives. We offer stimulating work with significant responsibility for planning and implementation. The role involves responsibility for your own assignments and is an important part of continued efforts to develop communications for Kiruna2029. The role requires presence on-site in Kiruna; business travel may occur. Kiruna 2029 is a project organization within Kiruna municipality that reports to its own board. After the project period, the project organization will be disbanded. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with academic education in media and communication sciences or equivalent education or experience. You have a good understanding of visual identity, tone, and graphic guidelines. Experience from the public sector is a merit. You have experience with operational communications work, brand work, and planning, implementing, and following up on communications initiatives in assignments and projects. You can analyze communications needs, adapt messages to different target audiences and channels, and translate strategy into practice. You are also comfortable conducting training sessions and inspiring others. The role requires you to work independently, in a structured manner, and with initiative, while having good collaboration skills and the ability to prioritize, make well-considered decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances. You are responsive to operational needs, unpretentious, and have good judgment. You are outward-facing, comfortable speaking to both small and large groups, and have an easy time building trusting relationships, both internally and externally. Creativity, pedagogical ability, and a holistic perspective are important qualities. It is a merit if you have knowledge of the local and national art and cultural scene. You are confident expressing yourself in Swedish and English. Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish are merits. Good skills in social media and digital communications. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe programs, or equivalent) and video. Experience with web publishing (e.g., WordPress, SiteVision, or similar) You hold a B driver's license Great weight is placed on personal qualities.
