Welcome to us The Unit for Communication and Sustainability is one of two units within the Strategy and Coordination area at Järva District Administration. The unit is responsible for several cross-administrative tasks, such as communications, support to civil society organizations, cultural coordination, ecological and social sustainability, coordination of the administration's planning and follow-up processes, and democracy development. With us, coordinators, strategists, communications officers, and researchers work together to develop and support the administration's operations. Now we're looking for a communications officer with a sense of form and graphic communication who wants to complement our communications team. Feel free to read more about our benefits here. Your role We're looking for a creative and organized communications officer who can translate messages into engaging content and visual expressions. You will strengthen our communications in both digital and printed channels. You work based on a graphic profile, adapt communications to different target audiences, and write according to plain language principles. Communications work is coordinated by a team leader, but you report to the Head of the Unit for Communication and Sustainability. As a communications officer, you are a strategic and operational support to the administration's operations. You identify communication needs, develop communication strategies, and plan, produce, implement, and follow up on communications initiatives. You ensure that the city's graphic profile is followed and contribute together with your colleagues to developing the administration's communications work. Your main responsibilities are to: create, publish, and follow up on content for web and social media as well as participate in planning and implementation of communications initiatives design and produce graphic materials for digital and printed channels according to the city's graphic profile ensure that communications are accessible, follow plain language principles, and provide support on communications matters train and support colleagues in communications Your competence and experience We're looking for someone who has: a university degree in media and communications science or other education that the employer considers equivalent experience with communications work in the public sector or other politically governed organization very good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing experience with web publishing, CMS, and social media experience with graphic design good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop It is advantageous if you have: experience with vector design in Adobe Illustrator experience with filming and simple video production competence in press and media work worked as an intranet editor, including administration and development of intranet. We're looking for someone who is professional, independent, and organized with a creative and solution-oriented work approach. You find it easy to collaborate, build good relationships, and communicate clearly with different people. You take responsibility, are engaged, and actively contribute to developing the operations through your drive, your diligence, and your ability to find new perspectives and solutions.
