Do you want to lead and develop communications work in Sweden's largest ambulance operation? We are now seeking a Communications Director for the Ambulance Emergency Medical Services Administration where you will have a unique opportunity to build up professional and operationally-focused communication support. Your Assignment The Ambulance Emergency Medical Services Board was established on January 1, 2026, and is responsible for ambulance emergency medical services within Region Stockholm. As Communications Director, you have overall responsibility for leading, allocating, developing, and coordinating communications work within the ambulance emergency medical services administration. The role is central to the administration's management work and involves both strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring a professional and operationally-focused communications function. The function, which will be reorganized as of September 1st, will consist of two employees and includes responsibility for internal and external websites, press matters, and collaboration with the region's other communications functions. You work closely with the administration manager and managers in the organization and thrive in change. You will be part of the administration management group and in a network with other communications directors in Region Stockholm. Your Main Areas of Responsibility You provide qualified communications support to managers/employees by analyzing communications needs and developing strategies, plans, and activities that contribute to achieving operational goals. You work with communications that support the operation's goals, development, and change. Responsible for developing internal communications to 1,600 employees at the head office and our ambulance stations throughout Stockholm County. We are Seeking We are looking for someone who is a confident, strategic, and development-oriented leader with a strong ability to build trust and establish long-term relationships. You have an operationally-focused approach and thrive in a role where you can combine strategic work with operational support. We see that you have: An academic degree in media and communications or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working in larger and complex organizations. Very strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Experience with crisis communications, press, and media management. It is a merit if you have: Experience from the health and medical care sector. Strategic work with digital communications and digital channels.
