We are looking for a Communications and Fundraising Manager who wants to take full responsibility for leading, developing, and creating good conditions for our Communications and Fundraising Department. In the role, you will combine strategic work in the management group with close leadership of the department's employees. About the position As Communications and Fundraising Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing Scouterna's Communications and Fundraising Department. You have overall responsibility for the department's operations, employees, budget, priorities, and long-term development. At the same time, you are an important part of Scouterna's management group where you contribute an organizational perspective and work together with other managers for the development of the entire organization. You lead the Communications and Fundraising Department, which consists of eleven employees. Together, you work with communications, press, fundraising, advocacy, and brand matters to create conditions for Scouterna's activities and continued development. Some of the most important tasks in the role are to: Be responsible for leading and developing Scouterna's combined internal and external communications and contribute to strengthening Scouterna's brand, reaching our goals, and continued growth. Be responsible for the Communications and Fundraising Department's personnel, budget, forecasting work, and reporting. Develop the department and coach employees, both hired staff and volunteers, through attentive and supportive leadership. Ensure effective communication with the scout movement and other stakeholders to contribute to the organization's goal achievement. Work actively to increase reach, visibility, engagement, and impact. Be responsible for matters related to communications, fundraising, PR, and media. Represent Scouterna in relation to media, authorities, the public, and other organizations. Be a strategic support and advisor on communications issues within the organization. Lead the crisis organization and manage crisis communications when needed. About you To succeed in the role, we believe you have: Good experience with communications and fundraising work. At least 5 years of management experience that has included personnel responsibility, budget responsibility, and operational responsibility. For the position, relevant university education, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Good digital proficiency and experience working in Microsoft 365. Experience with volunteer work in some capacity. It is a merit if you have experience sitting in a management group, leading a department where communications and fundraising work together, have experience and knowledge of crisis communications, or experience from a popular movement or membership organization. As a person, we are looking for someone who is a confident and stable leader who can make decisions, stand by them, and be a support for both employees and the organization when conditions change. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to create clarity, direction, and good conditions for others to succeed in their assignments. At the same time, you are attentive, thoughtful, and build trusting relationships through trust-based leadership. You have a strong analytical ability and can translate strategic goals into concrete plans, priorities, and results. For you, it is natural to see connections between the organization's overarching goals and daily work. We at Scouterna are located in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Västerås and are a total of 70 employees. As a workplace, we are characterized by a desire to make decisions as close to operations as possible, which contributes to strong ownership of what we implement. Scouterna offers its employees fine facilities, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and good working conditions. Scouterna works in close cooperation with volunteers at the national level, which means that work may need to take place on evenings and weekends. As part of the management group, flexibility is expected based on operational needs, which includes on-call responsibility and approximately three weekends per year.
