announces a repeated open competition for:
Director of the agency "Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies Malnava College" of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (for a fixed term of 5 years)
Requirements for candidates:
- Higher education – at least a Master's degree (at least B2 level in Latvian language proficiency) in the strategic specialization areas of LBTU Malnava College (engineering sciences and technologies; agricultural and fisheries sciences; economics and entrepreneurship, etc.) or pedagogy; a Doctor of Science degree will be considered an advantage;
- Impeccable reputation;
- Management experience – at least 5 years in a leading position (institution director, deputy director, structural unit director);
- Experience in education – at least 5 years in pedagogical/academic or educational management work;
- State language knowledge at native speaker level or at least C1 level;
- English language knowledge at least B2 level (to ensure international projects, the college's international representative functions and cooperation with international partners);
- Compliance with the requirements of the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law;
- Experience in attracting private/public funding for research and development initiatives, programs or projects;
- Experience in project development and implementation.
Additional requirements:
- Understanding of professional and higher education, its development trends and regulatory framework;
- Understanding of financial and budget management principles, investment attraction;
- Understanding of Latvia's bioeconomy/national economy development trends;
- Understanding of European higher education area development trends;
- Experience in strategic management of an institution, governance processes and change management;
- Good presentation, communication and team leadership skills, ability to represent the institution in Latvia and internationally.

- Curriculum vitae in Europass format with self-assessment of language knowledge;
- Vision for LBTU Malnava College strategic development for the next five years (up to 4000 characters);

Monthly salary: from 2500 euro.

The competencies of the College Director are defined by the Education Law, the Vocational Education Law and the LBTU Malnava College Regulations.
