We are now seeking a passionate, curious, and enthusiastic Chef de Cuisine who will build, inspire, and lead a team where service spirit and teamwork are at the center. You are an organized and natural leader who is responsible for kitchen operations both operationally, economically, and in terms of quality. As Chef de Cuisine, you are responsible for following laws and regulations as well as Compass Group's policies, rules, and values. The position includes responsibility for quality control, inventory management, pre- and post-costing of all dishes, monitoring of set key metrics, waste management, and purchasing. You are also responsible for creating sustainable dishes and menus based on trends, seasons, and guest preferences. We are a team of approximately 5 people preparing 1200 school meals in Uppsala. Who are you? You have education in hotel and restaurant management with a culinary focus or equivalent You have at least 5 years of experience as a chef or equivalent You have at least 2 years of experience with personnel and profit responsibility You should have experience working with menu planning systems You have extensive knowledge of gastronomy, nutrition, kitchen economics, and waste management You have analytical abilities and are results-oriented You have the ability to plan and structure work efficiently You have the ability to lead and delegate work and implement decisions into action You are attentive and responsive and have good knowledge of labor law and work environment You are creative and solution-oriented You see your significance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and find collaboration and communication easy You take responsibility through your passion for maintaining a high service and quality level in what you deliver You enjoy fast-paced days, can take initiative, and are flexible in your professional role You speak and write Swedish fluently You have good computer skills and knowledge of Office365 About Compass Group We are part of Compass Group, a world-leading provider of food, beverage, and support services.
