Meal Services is an organization in Tyresö Municipality where all kitchens in municipal preschools, schools, and upper secondary schools belong. We work together to develop public meals, and our vision is "We create joy in food for healthier young and old, and we are part of the solution for sustainable development."
About the Position
We are now seeking a head chef to lead one of our largest school kitchens serving approximately 700 students from preschool class through grade 9.
We give you great creative freedom to work with your team to create menus for the school's students and teachers. Most of the work takes place in the kitchen at stoves and cooking stations, but there are also administrative tasks, meetings with teachers, students, parents, and colleagues.
Most of the food is prepared from scratch in the kitchen, and we strive to make every meal guest look forward to our meals while maintaining high ambitions for sustainable food. This means we purchase organic products, work to reduce food waste and our carbon emissions, and are KRAV-certified.
Who Are You?
You must have documented training as a chef and have worked at least 5 years in the profession, preferably in a leadership position. You have solid knowledge of handling and preparing special diets.
Cooking is a passion for you, and providing our meal guests with a world-class dining experience is a given for you. You are a team player who is stress-resilient and has good communication skills. You have excellent leadership qualities and see the connection between good leadership and successful results. You contribute to creating a good psychosocial work environment and help create a place to develop for you and your team.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
To carry out the assignment, you also need good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
