Head Chef Wanted – New Restaurant in Central Malmö

We are opening a new restaurant in central Malmö in January. The concept is classic Swedish home cooking paired with a carefully curated beer selection – simple, honest food prepared properly, in an environment where both regulars and passersby will feel welcome. We are now seeking a Head Chef who wants to build the operation from the ground up. About the Role You will have primary responsibility for the kitchen: menu development, purchasing, budgeting, staffing, and daily operations. You will work closely with the owner and help shape the concept – from recipe development and tastings during the fall to opening in January. We are Looking For You If You Have solid experience with Swedish home cooking and understand the craft behind the classics Have worked as a Head Chef or Sous Chef and are comfortable managing an entire kitchen Master purchasing, budgeting, and waste management Are comfortable working at a fast pace and maintain consistent quality, shift after shift Have strong knowledge of food hygiene and self-inspection procedures Speak Swedish Are a clear and present leader who can make a team function well Merits Experience opening or reopening an operation Knowledge of pickling, curing, smoking, and other traditional cooking methods Interest in beer and understanding of how food and beverage complement each other What We Offer The opportunity to put your mark on an entirely new kitchen from day one A central location with good foot traffic Competitive salary based on experience Proper working conditions and collective bargaining agreement Application Send your CV and a few lines about yourself to [email protected].
